The 8th Muslim World Biz 2017 – Expanding Towards a Robust Economy
With all the features and benefits of a world-class trade event, the 8th Muslim World Business and Investment Zone will be held at Putra World Trade Centre in Kuala Lumpur from 18-21 September 2017. This event has gained immense recognition as it consists of a number of components which collectively respond to the urgent needs of people within the Muslim world in addition to incorporating profound concepts of the Islamic economy as an essential contributor to the welfare and prosperity of humanity at large. This year, The HonourableDato' Sri Haji Mohammad Najib bin Tun Haji Abdul Razak, Prime Minister of Malaysia, was invited to officiate the event.
The 8th Muslim World Biz includes three different but overlapping zones. The multi-sector trade exhibition zone usually hosts hundreds of companies coming from many countries to showcase their products and services, which they wish tosell overseas. A total number of 100 Memorandum of Understandings is expected to be signed this year during the consecutive business matching sessions. The conference zone consists of six different specialised forums and summits focusing on trade and investment, higher education, Islamic tourism, infrastructure, women’s empowerment in addition to a global leadership programme.
The award presentation ceremonies represent the main highlight of the Muslim World Biz, and they drive its success. The presentation of the “Jewels of the Muslim World Award” will take place during the official launch of the event on 19 September and the “Muslim World RaniaAward” will be presented by the First Lady of Malaysia, the honourableDatinPaduka Seri HajjahRosmahMansor on 20 September. These awards acknowledge and signify the contribution of outstanding male and female leaders within the Muslim world. Both awards are honoured by OIC TODAY, the premier business and investment magazine.
