The 8th Muslim World Biz 2017 – Expanding
Towards a Robust Economy
With all the features and benefits
of a world-class trade event, the 8th Muslim World Business and Investment Zone
will be held at Putra World Trade Centre in Kuala Lumpur from 18-21 September
2017. This event has gained immense recognition as it consists of a number of
components which collectively respond to the urgent needs of people within the
Muslim world in addition to incorporating profound concepts of the Islamic
economy as an essential contributor to the welfare and prosperity of humanity
at large. This year, The HonourableDato' Sri Haji Mohammad Najib bin Tun Haji
Abdul Razak, Prime Minister of Malaysia, was invited to officiate the event.
The 8th Muslim World Biz includes
three different but overlapping zones. The multi-sector trade exhibition zone
usually hosts hundreds of companies coming from many countries to showcase
their products and services, which they wish tosell overseas. A total number of
100 Memorandum of Understandings is expected to be signed this year during the consecutive
business matching sessions. The conference zone consists of six different
specialised forums and summits focusing on trade and investment, higher
education, Islamic tourism, infrastructure, women’s empowerment in addition to
a global leadership programme.
The award presentation ceremonies
represent the main highlight of the Muslim World Biz, and they drive its
success. The presentation of the “Jewels of the Muslim World Award” will take
place during the official launch of the event on 19 September and the “Muslim World
RaniaAward” will be presented by the First Lady of Malaysia, the honourableDatinPaduka
Seri HajjahRosmahMansor on 20 September. These awards acknowledge and signify
the contribution of outstanding male and female leaders within the Muslim
world. Both awards are honoured by OIC TODAY, the premier business and
investment magazine.
